tracked my car with the 202 STD map today, throttle feel is spot on, this car truly is an animal with the tune. this map is so smooth now compared to tracking it on the 201 map. the instructor was blown away at the amount of torque the car had. only problem now, in his words, is that the car doesn't handle to match the power levels of the car

Glad to hear that you're enjoying the new v202 std maps. The throttle response is definitely much more linear. Where do you feel that the car is lacking in terms of handling? Have you possibly considered getting a coilover setup or even a strut brace for the car?

Buy the BMW Performance Suspension. It goes perfectly with the Cobb tune.

What does that mean for N55 support - since Cobb is not focusing on the N55 until stage 2 and ATR are done for the N54 - looks like end of the year or 2012 for N55 - that sucks

looking at coilovers and vorshlag camber plates, its got terrible understeer right now as I switched to an e93 fsb to stop the wild body roll and havent gotten to the rest of the suspension yet. looking at a used set this weekend.

the track makes modding even more addicting since it really highlights where things aren't setup properly. the car was really well balanced bone stock with moderate understeer but the car is insanely fun with the tune and the few mods i have so far.

enough of me hijacking the thread about suspension, sorry

Why is it so many people use that excuse? Oh the car cost $45k so no biggie spending $1700 on 4 springs and shocks?? Not when you can get equally good springs and shocks plus an M front sway bar and rear subframe bushings for around $350 less

I bought that kit in Feb 2011 from Tischer BMW and a local BMW Indy shop did it for $350.

The dealership might charge for 4 or 5 hours but a good indy shop can do it in 2 or 3 hours.

N55 development is also underway right now. We've been working with a N55 ECU and just recently picked up a N55 shop car.

Thats great news - this statement is on your FAQ re the N55:

When will there be support for N55 based single turbo BMW's?
We do not have an ETA on availability of the AccessPORT for N55 vehicles at this time. Our current priority is to provide our full-tuning-solution for the twin-turbo N54 equipped 1, 3 and 5 series BMW's. While some development has begun on the N55, there is a lot left to do on the N54 before we put significant focus on the N55.

Does your last post mean you are now at the point you are putting significant focus on the N55 or are we still in the lots left to do on the N54 stage?
