VO - Teaser mod!
Dad just had a local shop work on a custom mod that a member on here previously had done on AW 1M. Gotta say turned out better than expected! Update on exactly the process used. The shop I went to had a custom pinstripe specialist custom cut the piece for the 1M. Matte matches the rear vents perfectly. The shop offered to paint or tape but recommended the tape. Application was freehand and the side markers were removed so to allow for a single piece. You will see from the new pics that this one mod really changes the entire look of the car.
Got the idea from this thread, but decided that the black side markers was an overkill and took away from the whole concept IMO - http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showt...ont+vents+real

looks good! if it was real I am pretty sure the rigidity of that fender would now be compromised haha. The vinyl strip looks good though!

If anyone in the Atlanta area likes this kind of stuff, Magnum Collision is the place to go. They do phenomenal custom work with cars.

That looks great! Can you post a rear 3/4 pic that shows how the vinyl cutout looks in comparison to the vents on the rear bumper? I'd imagine that this mod ties the front and rear fenders together and brings more unity to the aero-kit design.
Back when I was considering getting a BSM I was originally going to stick Valencia Orange vinyl in that area to make it pop. Was going to match that with some other VO accents to give the BSM some flavor. I ended up getting a VO, but someone with a BSM should try that. |

The rear fenders come that way stock from the factory. I will take a picture further back and along the side profile of the car to show you the comparison (match) with the rear "bumper fender" slits.
Here is a picture I found online for the time being to help show you.

It is a single piece of tape. The tech removed the sidemarkers and replaced them once the tape was applied. Cost was $250.00. More pictures to follow soon.

Hold on so the vents in the rear bumper are fake? They are not functional?
