Awesome time yesterday, and agree that ML rocks. On top of doing touch up on our cars we
- installed Brian's swaybar,
- 'and 1' has a new cargo net
- 'and 1' CDV replacment
- 'amy bang' and 'robo squirrel' cars washed/detailed
- had a nice BBQ w/ a few beeras
- played Rock Band 2 for a while
- wiffle ball home run derby

I had a great day hanging with you all. Glad you could stop by!!

Mike (ML) did a fabulous job on the rock chips on my car. A new game we can all play in the future is to find the fix next to my windshield. It's nearly impossible.

Larry and Andy did a terrific job on my rims.

Everyone is getting racing stripes for the next auto-x.

Orca has the convertible top wear problem and is developing a hole. She'll need a new top soon.

Larry has an awesome Rock Band room.

Mike (and 1) let his car get dirty and is going to come over to my place one of these days to be my house boy and polish Orca.

Thanks again to Larry for hosting and to Mike for sand paper expertise!

Wow, I missed a whiffle ball home run derby and rock band. My dog was at least glad to see me. Skipping out on washing my car was a good decision. It rained for the last 5 miles on the Mass Pike. Anyway, I'm glad to have helped.

Thanks for lunch Larry. Burgers and dogs are always good.

Big thanks to Larry hosting this gathering! The food and just everything was great! Also thanks for this awesome swaybar! I can't wait to really test it at the next autox. Now to just order some new endlinks...

When are you getting their replacements? I thought you ordered them...

Btw, before you swap them out, have four extra 3/8" x 24 (not 3/8" x16) nuts on hand to double nut them, or else they continually loosen on theor own and make a terrible banging racket.

Also, check the bushing bracket nuts for tightness too. Once they have "settled", you might have loosened those up too. I just had to do this on Sunday... same thing.. banging noises. Sway bars are notorious for causing banging noises unless totally locked down.

Those damn nuts keep backing off on mine until I dbl nutted 'em (one totally lost a nut and was banging badly). Also, make sure you put do final end-link length adjustment with weight on both front wheels (preferably on ramps).

So in other words drive up on ramps with the end links disconnected, meansure the length from car connection point to swaybar, make the end links that length and install? Thanks!

YEah. Attach the top well, torqued, double nutted, and have the adjustment locking nuts loose and the bottom not connected.

Drive up on ramps, and adjust them. With weight on the car, you can make sure that they are not near anything at the bottom side, and torque those and double nut those. Then tighten the height adjustment lock nuts (cinch nuts).

Also, as you tighten those cinch nuts, make sure that ball joint is nice and flat to the face of the surfaces you bolt to. Actually, if they are bend to the side, you can get awful banging too.

I wish I knew this before ordering them, because I definatly ordered the wrong size end links. It wasn't that the end links I got from you were lose, they are too short and have my swaybar under continous load since we never adjusted them origionally. I think tomorrow the stock swaybar is going back on

There is no way the swaybar is "on continuous load" unless you're going down the street with a rack of Flintstone ribs on a window rack. Swaybars go under load when the front leans to on side or the other.

Well I tried putting the endlinks on in the process you said, and I'm pretty sure I didn't get ones long enough cuz they are like 2" short from the swaybar. The noise I hear is coming from the poly bushings whenever i go over bumps or the load of the suspention changes regardless if im turning or not.
