What is covered under the extended warranty?

What is covered under the extended warranty?

I am debating which to purchase, the extended warranty or the extended maintenance plan..

Thanks.

For the 2 years of Extended Maintenance coverage, you should get (BMW dealer prices are estimated):

2 oil changes @ $100
1 30k Inspection @ $200
1 Brake Fluid Flush @ $150
Wiper Blades, Microfilter, etc. @ $150

Total is roughly $700 to which you can add spark plugs ONLY if you will be passing 45k or 90k miles during that interval and Brakes ($500~700 per axle) ONLY if they will be needed during the coverage period.

So do the math and compare to the cost of the plan for your situation. Personally, I've saved significant $$ by declining the coverage for my BMWs.

Turbos have their own section on page 2 in the brochure, "Induction System".

Damn, makes more sense to get the extended warranty instead of the extended maintenance plan! Great info.

Axle covered??

Looks like i have a leaky axle. That is considered to be part of the drive train and therefore covered, right??

I thought I remember someone saying that if you buy the extended maintenance program, the clutch is replaced at 90K miles? Anyone have the brochure for the extended maintenance?
