e85 Question
I currently am running Map 5 on my JB4 and have been doing a 30/70 e85 mix with pretty good results, spiking approximately 17.5 psi. If Map 7 targets 16.5 psi with a 50/50 mix, do I have any reason to increase my e85 mix if boost levels are "already there?"
Also, Terry recommends "no more than 45%" e85 ratio on Map 7. If e85 is 105 octane and I do a mix of 45/55 with 93 octane, then the combined octane would be 98.4. If Map 7 is for 100 octane, why would the recommended octane be slightly less?... e85 would have to be over 108 octane for that ratio to break 100 octane. I don't run the JB4 so I can't speak to the changes between map 5 and 7.
However for part 2: e85 effectively isn't 105 octane, e85 will usually(depending on actual ethanol percentage) tune like its closer to c116 than 105. The downside is that it requires ~30% more fuel volume than 93. That's why terry recommends a 45% mix. It will, more than likely, max out the LPFP at any higher concentrations. Long story short, if your logs look good than you are good.

Are you spiking at 17.5 or are you actually hitting 17.5 for a length of time?
