Need Tires for 128i 17inch rims
Okay I failed, after reading way too many posts I still cant figure out what Tires I need to buy.
This is for my 128i 2008 Currently have stock Rims (Sport) 17s Current Tires are Front: Pirelli Pzero 225/45/17 Rear: Pirelli Pzero 205/50/17 I am using the car for a daily driver, and mostly need good tire life and comfort, no track driving for me. Do I need to stick with this size for my stock rims or are there benefits from slightly altering it. Also any recommendations for me. I have had Hankook V12 in the past and have been happy with them. Again just not sure if I can only get 225/45 and 205/50, and if I change it whats the benefit... Also I am considering Changing from the RFT to NonRft. Please enlighten me as a need help. |

I had the PZero runflats on my '09 128. One of the better runflats IMO, but when they wore out, I wanted to go the non-rft route.
I got Continental DW tires as a replacement (stock sizes). I really like them Way less expensive than the PZeros. I also bought the Conti Comfort Kit from Tire Rack as a way to deal with a flat tire. Haven't had to use it, though : ) |

If it was me I'd probably look at something like Bridgestone RE760 in the stock sizes. They are a (semi) performance tire designed for good tread wear. They have slightly wider tread than the stock tires and probably the Hankooks too. I don't think there's much point in going up to a larger size for the use you described. They will offer good handling and performance while still being a lot more comfortable than the run-flats. You can get cheaper tires, but I think its hard to go wrong with the Bridgestone for a daily driver.
