I was pleasantly surprised there was only 11kms on the clock too. My RS4 had 78kms on it...well, the told me the factory did a lot of testing for RS4 before leaving the factory. I found it a bit hard to swallow that one.

No worry Tim, I never say no to cars and photography (after taking care of the family first of course).

I am amazed what a difference full frame makes. Now, I should put the MkIII on my wish list.

Me too, I've been very tempted to upgrade but since photography doesn't give me an income, it's hard to justify it when the 5D MkII is still so capable.

Nice pics. Love the effects/narrow field of view you get with a wide open aperture.

Or he's using something like a Micro Nikkor 105mm 1:2.8.

Gazz, all photos were taken with Canon EF 24-70mm F/2.8 using 5D MkII. Most photos taken at F2.8.

Ah well, it was worth a guess. I have that Micro Nikkor and it produces similar results to your shots. Like your work BTW. A touch of the dramatic with the lighting effects and depth of field used to great effect in composition. Like the headlight shot. In the wheel shot I would have focused on the ///M and left the BMW roundel out of focus. But that's just my take on it.

Do you keep your patients waiting while you compose artistic shots of their teeth?

Also, I agree with your earlier advice in using a fast 50mm as an all rounder. There are plenty of great photographers who use just one lens, whether it's a 28mm or 50mm or 100mm whatever.

I've got some fancy stuff but I find I use my Fujifilm X10 more and more. If you want to catch the moment I find that the less mucking about the better and the Fuji is a great camera to carry everywhere.

Absolutely agreed with you Gazz on the focus on ///M.
Fortunately, you can't be too artistic with teeth shot so patients usually survived the photoshoot.

Some new photos

OK, so I was waiting for my daughter doing a school thing this morning, I thought I take a few photos as the car was parked in a nice open shade spot.

Here they are. The first side shot was taken with 24-70mm and the rest were taken with a EF70-200mm F/2.8.

Snow hang out with a few 1Ms. It was a gloomy day but the atmosphere was on the high.

Updates

I got myself a Cobb AP 2 weeks ago.

My main reasons for choosing Cobb are the ease of use, portability and able to maintain M button functionality. And it's good to have someone like Peter at Advan who has plenty of knowledge and able to do custom tune with Cobb down the track.

I started with the stage 1 sport map and didn't really feel much changes but when I loaded up stage 1 Aggressive stock throttle map, I am loving it. Better low end torque and throttle response and the M button still work.

Here's the throttle map of linear throttle vs stock throttle. Photos are from Cobb tuning.
