Goodwood Festival of Speed - First day pics.

Attended Goodwood on the first day of the Festival of Speed for the 20th anniversery. Perfect weather, shock to many brits lol and plenty of exotica, classics and motorsport representation. A number of manufacturers put on a good show. Porsche centre stage for 2013.

Mr Bean's F1, in such good condition, one would think it just rolled off the production floor....

Thanks a lot for posting these photos Aussie!

Photos tell me; a) nothing really exciting from BMW b) The older the Porsche 911, the better they look (with the exception of 996, 997 is better imo)

And one thing really interests me: Did you see the Alfa Romeo 4C in action?

Having a hard time keeping my hands on the keyboard after that.

The Alfa looks amazing. I can't wait to see a review on it.

The M135 and M435 look pretty good despite the vomiting of ///M badges all over a non-M car. Not sure I like the brand being diluted by that.

And that 911 speedster was tits man!

I'm liking the new Audi RS line up. That orange BMW bike is awesome. Is that a "one off"?

That's a lot of high quality pics! Thanks for sharing!

Also, the ///M side badge on the 435i M-Sport is a bit forced and appears to be out of place. Even true M cars don't have that there. It's the same size as the rear ///M badge, which is why I think it feels misplaced.

(Let's be sure to call it a 435i, not an M435i. Not sure how BMW plans to distinguish the two lines of sports packages, but the 235i won't come in 235i flavoring, to the US, only as an M235i, whereas the 435i only comes as a 435i, and M-Sport is the line to pick from.)

I was disappointed in the A45 interior looks great in photos but very cheap looking in the flesh.

The grey 4C went up the hill but more on display sort of thing, the head lights personally are shocking, somewhat remind me of Sentinels from the Matrix.... Otherwise, spot on. As for the 911', make mine the 964, what was Porsche thinking with the headlights on the 996. Must say, I am impressed with the new Boxter.

Carbon tube from the 4C

Impressive, Mclaren ran a black concept up the hill but had it parked up in the horse stables, sounded nice.

That was the whole idea, I was thinking of just putting up a small few, but to many great cars and thought, ah stuff it, get them up, but still not all.....

The ///M badge is much smaller than our own, not sure if it is production or just the initial pre production models to show off the M Performance kits.

Thanks so much for this Aussie, just really enjoyed the photos, great effort.

Agree with the M badges on the 4, first thing I thought was, hmm, wonder why they'd throw them on there, "throw" being the operative word there.

The new Mac looks amazing! That Blue Boxster also had me thinking bad things.

For an opinion, I think the 993 is the prettiest 911.

You've now made me want to be the second (of many) Aussies in London, at least around the Speed festival period.

Thanks again, loved it.

Oh and those centre locks on the GT3..... If I had a child, I'd want him or her to be a centre lock hub....... now I just sound like an idiot.
