Cashmere Silver Metallic photos?
I'm deciding between Cashmere Silver or Sparkling Graphite. :iono:
I've seen SG in person before but never the CS. Anybody have any photos or can photoshop one? Thanks! |

Thanks for the great links and video! That color looks pretty good. Sometimes it's hard to tell the difference between that and regular silver. This is gonna be a tough one......

Thanks for the Cashmere silver photos. They give a better perspective to the color. I was concerned that the Cashmere with the taupe interior might not have enough contrast, but the convertible shots look great. Taupe interior is the only one that gives you lighter colors in lower dash, doors, and carpets. Too much black for me with the others.

My bet: Cashmere buyers will be overwhelmingly female, as it's a soft feminine colour - and the percentage of convertible buyers who will be female will be much higher than will be the case for the coupe buyers. BMW marketing knows this already from their focus groups, hence the publicity photos showing Cashmere are 'vert only.

Does anyone think/know if they will ever offer SPACE GREY as a color option for the 1er? This is a beautiful color and can be seen on the 335 coupe and also the new m3. looks beautiful!

All told, CSM appears to be a decent colour. If we go the route of the 128 cabrio, it will be for my wife and I. I'll be picking up my E92 335i space grey on saddle next month, 19" rims. So, don't really care if CSM is a 'girly' colour. Gotta balance my needs against wife's. I don't want automatic, she likes CSM. So stick it is and I also gotta stick with CSM. No pun intended.

Not Cashmere Silver
This is a rare example of Priority One color "Chrome Crap". It was briefly popular with Step drivers who claimed it was just like Titanium Silver but shinier. Plus, their wives approved. Fortunately, BMW leadership discontinued the color when they discovered the cost of chrome exceeded the $475 metallic paint charge. The creator of "Chrome Crap" was demoted to the design studio where his bosses figured he'd stay out of trouble drawing pictures of ugly cars that would never be built. His name is Chris Bangle.
