Going rate for a 135i Coupe in the Metro NY area
I am currently in the market for a 135i coupe, do not care either auto or manual and do not care what options are included in the car or the color. My main draw to this car is the 3.9% APR financing and the 2 months payments by BMW. It doesn't seem that there is a huge stock of these sitting around on the lots in this area... and based on past experience on purchasing "in demand" cars (350z, G35 coupe, both in 6spd) dealers refuse to budge from MSRP, or in some cases, mark them up.
In this soft market, would it be realistic to get a 135i in this climate and economic downfall for Invoice or close to it? And the second question would be, assuming 700+ credit scores, would I be able to still qualify for the BMW finance promo? PS - (If any dealers want to offer me a White or Black 135i coupe with Premium/Nav/Sport/Cold Weather Package in either auto or 6sp at invoice, I'll be there tomorrow to take it!!!) |

I have yet to buy an I35 but I'm pretty sure you can get dealers to budge off the sticker price....assuming they are even on the lot (i have no idea).
In 2005 I bought a brand new fully loaded 6spd G35 Coupe, as you referred to, for $3k under sticker with only 5 miles on the odo. |

I recently ordered a 128 at 500 over inv. I wouldn't think a 135 esp. one on a lot would be any worse deal than that. Target invoice, stop out at 500 over- someone around will do that deal and being that you're not picky, shouldn't be an issue. Good luck and don't forget the sales tax deduction too if you don't rake in too much I think its 150 single 250 joint after any 401(k) contributions. Good luck, let us know how you do.

When people say 500 over invoice, are they including all fees (doc fee, maco, training, delivery, etc.)
I got 550 over invoice including all fees and was quite happy w/ that! Shoot llooowwww! |

^well i think one is "over invoice" and the other is "over cost"
When I made an agreement over the phone for my G35 they said it would be $500 over invoice which should be the total price with delivery. They tried to charge me extra for delivery and luckily they realized they made a mistake and they meant to say $500 over cost. I would assume most people on here mean after all fees, excluding tax, tag and title |

I think its different for different regions... in the NYC/LI area, the dealers just refuse to budge off MSRP. One dealer said "if we had one, i'd give it to you for $500 under MSRP". I guess these dealers like having 135's sitting on their lots with that attitude

On a 2008 vert I got 11% off sticker with no markup on money factor. I did get a 1k rebate (bought 30th jan) which went toward cap reduction so 950 really.
I beleive MF support is still available until the end of march on the 2008 135. |

I'm in the region! I bought my car from Wide World in Spring Valley- near the Tappan Zee in Rockland. They have a 2 JB 135s: one cp, one conv. and they're dealing and its not THAT far from NYC/LI area. Take a drive, good people too, easy to deal with. I called and asked if they'd be game to sell an ordered car near invoice, he said "how close", I said "300", he said "500". His invoice and the one quoted on Edmunds were a couple hundy off for their training fee or whatever bs but he threw in the nice BMW mats and the deal was done- very very easy. Again this was on an ordered 28 but I doubt it would be much different for a 35. You can do it, call around and tell the MSRP hosers to suck a fart.

Talk to Sal at Park Ave in NJ.
$500 over invoice no headaches. Yes there is that $480 training fee crap. Only thing you have to add is tax and title fee. |
