Photos: Cleveland Auto Show
Here are some shots from the show yesterday. The 135i is much different in person than in photos. Photos tend to make it look "cute" and even a little chubby. The space limitations of the auto shows force people to use wider angle lenses which distort proportion and perspective as well. There is definitely a very muscular, sculptural quality to the design that camera's don't seem to capture very well. That's the good news. The bad news is Sedona Red (at least under artificial light) looks like poop. It's dull and odd pink tones come out in the reflection highlights. I was overall pleased with the size. It has a nice compact quality, but definitely has the capacity for excellent utility. Overall it seemed to be the same size as my Civic Coupe which I have been very happy with the size of. Hope you all enjoy the photos even though we have seen a million Sedona shots already.
I love the fender flare and how the wheels are pushed right out to the edge. I'm still baffled by this sloppy detail. Love it. It'll never look dirty. Looks like those awesome brakes have seen some road use. I thought this shot gave a good sense of scale. The blonde man was a bit over 6' tall. Had to throw this in, too gorgeous not to.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that the interior had an aluminum trim that isn't available on the BMW NA site, so I'm assuming this was a preproduction car.
