Im guessing this is just the rear bushings? And do u need that special bushing tool to install?

The four rear bushings need a puller to get the old ones out an the new ones back in. HPA will rent one. I used an E36 bushing puller. Others have used pipe and all thread from Home Depot. So there are options for what tool is needed.

Hows the install on these babies, isnt it basically the same amount of work as it would be installing new rear shocks/struts and springs?

Actually its more....

You have to drop the subframe and get the tool to remove them.

Quite a bit of work (HPA quotes 7+ hours for install). CBRD did 4 dampers and the M3 sway in under 3 hours. Made a considerable improvement in the handling.

When did ya get that done? Which dampers and bar did you get (26.5 or 28mm with the kink?) Any reason you didnt throw any new springs on there while they were at it? Im considering the H&R oe sport springs for when I do my suspension mods (sooner than later hopefully).

Honestly thou, for the subframe bushings, WHY would anyone go to that much trouble for these..is it really a huge fuckin deal for 7 hours of time and labor cost?

Quite a few here have proclaimed the rear bushings make a big difference (I think it reduces squirm at the back of the car). I am certain you would notice the improvement in a track setting. At Speed in MD recommended them to me but they are a Dinan authorized shop. All told I spent the same $1,200 on Bilstein HDs and the E93 bar with installation.

Was considering springs but the HDs are designed for the stock springs. The OE Sports would be my choice as well (brother has them on his R32, ride well and give the car a nice stance).
