Just my limited opinion on this- numbers don't lie, but they can be misleading when taken out of context. You have to look at the entire package to make sense of numbers. The G35 on paper may have superior numbers but in terms of what is available at the wheels, that may not look that impressive. Then couple the transmissions and the weight to power ratios into play and you might have an interesting case. Just my opinion

because after I was ahead, i hit the brakes and so did he! we were CLEARLY going full for about 8-9 seconds and then didnt u seem my brakes slam on, by the time he moves the camera towards the speedometer he has SLOWED down.Anyone can see that. Trust me my brother really regrets getting the G35 and wishes he had went with 330i. He was trying extra hard to show that the G is at least faster. haha Seriously next time i make some videos i have to invite at least 2 e90post members as witnesses.

We both let the computer do the shifting, because he had to film. So if he couldnt use the manual neither could i. (well i was in d/s mode but since they dont have a comparable he left in regular Drive) As for the vdc im sure he turned it off, i dont know for sure i was never in his car. I left my dtc/dsc setup on. Didn't really kick in at all.

If it's an automatic, make the video. The results will be the same as mine b/c the coupe is heavier than your 330i. And i dunno if nissan measures with full tank of gas and one passenger like bmw does. Can someone answer that question for me? That might be another huge factor cause if not both the sedan and coupe would hit about a lofty 3700 lbs vs 3450lbs

Yes, it's automatic. I always had no question in my mind that the G's much stronger and faster (34 HP more) until the last 2 weeks. My friend confirmed it too when I let him drive mine in DS. Damn it, I should have 4 people (2 in each car) to video the race from both cars.

Haha correct me if i'm wrong but arent you the one who who always raves that on the street is where it matters, not on the track, and my M45 can take anyone on the street>? I mean i agree its dangerous but this wasnt against some random moron. It was a on a deserted road and only up til like 75ish. If youre gonna lose control while accelerating to 75 you shouldnt be driving a car.

I never said my M45 would take any car on the street, so check yourself.. Street racing is not cool. I can only imagine if you lost control and crashed into a young, growing family. That def. would not be cool..

If you can film this in the daytime, have somebody in a third car behind the both of you, and have him set the camera on his dashboard.

Our e90 dashboards actually have a nice spot you can place a videocam on. It's too difficult for a person to hold a camera steady, especially when there is a lot of car motion.

im pretty sure it was the dont race an rx400h thread. You were talking about M45's crushing 330/325's on the street and you said " I could care less about the track. Most races occur on the street/highway". You werent advocating on how "uncool" it was on that thread but w/e it doesnt matter.

It's my business, my car and my life and i know how to drive. For gods sake we didnt even hit 80. I dont need to be lectured. I took MANY precautions. I wouldnt of even started the race until there was no sign of any car for miles and if we ever saw a single pair of headlights(not once), we would of immediately pulled over to the side.
