In case it wasn't posted before. I'm still getting one but this is funny!

Oh for crying out loud. They sell Vipers with V10s, Veyrons with 16 cylinders, Mercedes has more large, high powered engines than ///M and that's just from 10 seconds of thinking about it. It has ZERO to do with regulations; it's a decently powered existing engine - that's it. No significant new development costs, acceptable power.

Well, you can forget all that. The new car is fitted with a turbocharged straight six. Turbocharging? In an M car? That’s like putting gravy on an ice cream. - Jeremy Clarkson, discussing the S65 and then S55 M3 engines. |

AWESOME. 1M is a JOKE, to me. Wish I could scream it from the top of the Empire State Building. BMW FAIL big time on this one.

its so true, and really really sad at the same time
it's like seeing a childhood hero do infomercials all these years of building up the M badge, above and beyond all competition first the X5m now this? and with rumours of the next M3 going down the same road i can't help but shed a tear i think plan B is go find a M3 E30 and spend like 20 grand on it, fix it up, and just stick with that |

ROFL, I thought it was pretty damn funny.
Unless they made enough tweaks that it doesn't fall flat on its face at 6k RPMs, I know I'll be more than a little disappointed.
