N55 Problems

Seeing as the N54 was plagued with HPFP problems I wanted to start a thread where people could post there problems with the N55. Feel free to chime in and please be as detailed as possible. Thanks!

Ha me too, it just looks badass under the hood with the BMW emblem and the words "TwinPower Turbo" on it. Also the sounds are intoxicating!!!

25,000 km (15,000 miles) and not so much as a hiccup... the N55 has been simply rock solid. I love this car.

Love my N55. The only problem I'm experiencing is the thrill of driving it, it's almost like sex on wheels. Damn sexy piece of machine.

compared to DCT, my 6MT vert is definitely NOT rev happy. It has just 700miles but DCT test drives were reving to red line when puched.

there's a lot of resistance w/ this 6MT...maybe need to further broken in???
maybe a decent set of aggressive cams!

otherwise, it's not too fast and too heavy. looks good thou I guess for girls to look at...

fast is relative, I suppose.
now, my previous EVO VIII - that was a rocket! if you think this thing is fast...lol

I started this thread, but thanks for letting me know what the title was... "N55 Problems"

I don't care for your opinion if you cant describe it in detail.

Comparing it to an EVO VIII...really? The 135i is equally fast if not faster stock not sure where you were going with that. You clearly are a troll...

I guess you should head back to the Mitsubishi dealer and pick up another Evo. On paper both cars are very close in acceleration sounds like user error to me.

Let us know what the problem is. I know a lot of owners are very gunshy with the HPFP problems on the N54 engines.

I take it you have DCT and meant you were in manual mode. Did you open the door by any chance or was it possibly not closed all the way?

I like to open my door when backing up sometimes to get a better idea how close I am and the first time I did this in my DCT it started going backwards and then suddenly jammed into park. It was so abrupt I thought I hit something. I don't remember it shutting off though.

I think BMW needs to address this. Since when did cars start parking themselves when you open the door? This is the first vehicle I've owned that ever did this.
