Took a test drive. Was gone so long they had to call me to ask me to return the car.

Drove the 135 today for a extended test drive. Drove a A/T and wow it really is nice. The A/T is just a dream to drive. Knock me the fuck out I let my wife drive, and I'm considering the A/T when I never would have thought I would. What the hell is wrong with me? Am I getting old? I really like the car with the paddles and what not...:iono:

I was pretty impressed with the auto I drove as well. If I were buying a 335 to cruise around in I'd probably give it serious consideration.

I had it sideways more than once just leaving the line with stability off. It is a very well balanced car. Get it out of line, and it comes back w/little effort. I had the system off during the entire drive. Wow.

And it Pulls like a crazy train.

You get used-to the freight train-like pull in fairly short order, or, so you think, then, the little monster surprises you, before you know it you've seen 100mph. How did THAT happen?:iono:

 Dude you are so right. I had it up to speed about 3 times to many.

Get this...My wife. My sweet innocent wife launched it hard from a light and smiled big time. Begging me to include her in the purchase by getting the Auto. This thing is smoother riding than my non-sport X3. I'm not kidding either.

After my test drive I can't blame you for considering the auto. I'll order the 6speed but both of us can drive a manual. I'm not sure if that's good or bad, because I'm not sure how much I want her driving it.

I took a test drive yesterday and I have to say the 135i really impressed me. It is a great car with amazing responsiveness and power. That thing is fast and gets up to speed quickly. You can get in trouble before you even know it.

It didn't feel as porky as I expected either. The interior is solid, sport seats with adjustable lumbar felt great (my tester had the Sport package), shift throws were short and crisp, and interior room was good. I think I might have to pick one up. Someone advised that you should not test drive one unless you are ready to buy, because you will want to buy the 135 after driving one. It is terrific.

I test drove an auto 135i and I was very impressed with the transmission. If I drove in traffic a lot I would consider it. Why don't you just teach your wife how to drive a stick (not with the brand new 135i though ).

Sweet - that reminds me of a great story Rich Beem told me. After he won his first PGA event, he test drove a Porsche for over an hour at serious speed and said the tires were 'wet' we he returned. He also said the dealer was a real turd about it (probably warranted!) or he would have bought the car then and there...

Never known a dealer to 'call in' a test drive - fine work - cheers!

Yeah... I made that mistake. I can't order mine until I start my new higher paying job in June and the wait is killing me.

This is the reason I haven't gone in yet. Got about 11 months left on the current lease.

Same...I'd get 20-22 grand at best for my trade. Which means I'd have to pay about a 20 grand premium just for the upgrade over my Mustang. It's rough, but I think I'm gonna have to hold off for now too.

Yes, no betting reference. In a 325i now, looking to move into a 135i next year!
