Thanks! Just waiting on loan approval. Applied for this one place called lightstream.com for a low APR since my credit score is nearly 800. Started my new job about 3 weeks ago in the middle of the pay period so I don't get paid until the end of this week and they NEEDED a pay stub. I'm like seriously... my credit score is perfect, I have proof of funds, and my signed work offer letter stating how much I'm getting paid and they said they still need the pay stub. So went to another place and now waiting to hear back

If you just started a job the offer letter should be sufficient, I've been there before as well some banks just like to be a PITA. Good luck!

The idle fluctuations are common on some of the 1ers with the DCT. There are some threads that talk about it. Search and you'll find them. Here's one. A couple of fixes are a DCT software update for some, and some say PPK helps. It's supposed to be worse with the a/c on.

I didn't watch the video but like Steve said, You need a specific software update Trans. SIB 12-15-14 for the rpm bounce. The PPK1 smooths out the throttle response.

Heres an interesting post about SIBs and the thread it's in:

Quote:
Also, SIB stands for service information bulletin. It's not software related. Basically they are just tecnical information, the ones everyone references in regard to the DCT issues basically just tells the tech if the transmission is "lurching" or "surging" or something like that, that he should program the car with the latest software.
I'm learning something new every day.

Hopefully, it's that simple. Are you still under warranty? If you are it's free of charge. If not, I believe you have to pay for labor and possibly demonstrate your issues. Again, good luck.

it still gets confused about idle speed sometimes, and jumps around. not as often as before.

on warm starts, after sitting for a few hours, it will start and then dies after a few seconds.

there is p00bd code, "mixture too rich" code

there is a one to three second delay when you are rolling slowly and press the gas. nothing at all happens, then it kicks in.

I've noticed that when I come to a stop, if I dont press the brake all the way down the RPMs don't do that rising thing. I just press the brake lightly enough not to let it roll forward anymore

Hmm... haven't heard of that as a solution before. Sounds like an easy fix. Glad you found something that works for you.

Lets see if anybody else tries that and has the same success as you. Hopefully they do. Can't try it myself because I don't have that problem.

It's still annoying to have to do that. It's definitely a software issue though. The car upshifts and downshifts extremely fast

So are you planning on getting a software update eventually?

BTW, you should change what you list in the "Drives:" category since you are no longer a 5.0 man.

Or are you planning on keeping the Mustang as well?

Mustang was picked up yesterday by a truck. Did a couple WOT pulls in her for the last time

I already made the grilles on the 135i black

Congrats, your 1er looks like mine. Just wanted to mention I had the latest software update (SIB 12 13 14) and have PPK (135is) and I still have the erratic idle (and lag). YMMV, but you may want to save your money if paying out of pocket.

Interesting. I might just do it in the future since it's not really a big deal. I'm already figuring out how to manage the lag. Gonna upload a video in a few min to show you guys how pressing the brake down at a stop makes the RPMs go up
