Yeah its a known problem. I dont know if they really fixed it, or if they just keep slapping the old ones in the exact same way. Hence the reocurring problem

To me it sounds like a manufacturing defect (obviously). I think your trunk may be skewed so that the plastic is under stress when installed and then finally fails?
If it was the plastic most/all would be failing. |
