I'm a bit discouraged because I've been searching for Starck Performance, and -- despite considerable publicity regarding Clockwork Orange -- have found nothing. Viral marketing is ok, so long as there is real follow-up. Neil |

Clockwork Orange is my car. However, Starck just helped with the build. As I stated before I was put in contact with them as I searched for pieces for my 1M before it arrived in May.
As a fan I want to get my hands on the lips they tested out in the photoshoot and took off after each shot. Just stumbled upon the website. That's it! As far as Starck and iCarbon being the same company, when all the companies met for the build in June, iCarbon and Starck were two different groups of people. Even though they got along during the build, I noticed some tension. Maybe because I contacted iCarbon first and they took to long too answer so I went with Starck |

Ah so they were 2 different sets of people?
Just curious because the hood and trunk look basically 100% alike from the iCarbon one and iCarbon was promising to come back in October and Starck seems to be getting their operation up in October as well. |

According to their website, STARCK was supposed to be ready by summer... and it just turned to fall. Maybe they go delayed and ended up having the same dates?: |

It's weird Starck and iCarbon are due to make a return at the same time. I hope they are 2 different companies because if after all this time we find out they are the same... I'm not sure how that would go down considering iCarbon's reputation.

Yup that is why I am a bit hesitant but I am glad that SleK is working on a similar type of hood where they will make it to your liking and give you vents if you want them and no vents if you don't with a similar type of power bulge. I think they said the vents will be actually functional as well and have some sort of rain protection but I am not sure. Same thing with a CSL type trunk.

Does the hood bump actually serve any purpose, or is it for show? The M3 has a hood bump only because the engine wouldn't physically fit in the car without it (it makes room for the individual throttle bodies).

Show since I don't think it does anything aerodynamics wise.

I really like the design of the M3 iCarbon hood but unfortunately it comes at a premium price and they're completely out of stock. Also, not sure if anyone has noticed but I see hardly anyone showing off photos of this hood because most people had fitment problems with them. Similar story to what happened with the first batch of lips they made.

That's what I was pointing out. How can this be a leak when he's the only contact we have had with Starck.

Just wait for the SleK hood / trunk, it will be very similar. That is what I am waiting for.

My guess is no because the bumper is shaped differently. Im referring to the bottom line of the bumper where it would meet the "diffuser"

On another note, (that just crossed my mind) I think the styling of the 1M is what probably reflects what the styling of the F30 M3 will be like. |
