New 135i Owner (Perth)
Wanted to say hi
Just bought a low km 2009 black 135i with all the M sport gear. Picked it up today and it is brilliant to drive. The steering is heavier than I thought it would be, but not in a bad way. This is the first BMW I have owned. Amongst other cars I previously had a 350hp Focus XR5 with LSD, coilovers, and heaps of other mods. Hope to do some simple bolt-ons and tune to the BMW. Still deciding on what tune; JB4 or Cobb... The site is great, will be spending plenty of time reading in the coming weeks!!! Nick |

Hi mate and welcome.
Did you buy the one from Subaru Wangara? Was eyeing off the Performance rims on that one the other week. Hopefully we'll have a Perth meet up soon, it's been nearly 12 months since the last one. |

Thanks for the welcome

Saw it when I went to get a quote for a bit of body work on my VW passat CC. Walked back to my car through the Subaru dealership and saw the BMW. |

Was talking to one of the Subaru salesman about your new car, apparently it's got a PPK or some type of aftermarket tune on it. |

I know it has the "BMW M sport power pack", but whether that is a load of rubbish im not sure. Will be getting a JB4 or Cobb unit anyway. And I will probably be getting rid of the rims at some stage too these ones will need a new home! |

I too came from a modded XR5 I loved it, was a great car for the $$$. The 135 eats it for breakfast Especially with mods Cobb with PTF tune is becoming a popular route. The main trouble you'll have is to know when to stop modding! DP's, CAI, FMIC, Catback, suspension, roll bars etc etc. People here are very friendly and happy to help out. cheers |

have a look at the open flash tablet as an alternative to the Cobb.....similar product but comes with a coloured touch screen mini tablet and is slightly less than half the price of the cobb
I run one in mine |

Yes. What exactly does that mean? Looked on the net but couldnt find a definitive answer.
Couple of bad iphone pics of the car...(Im a golfer, hence the number plate) And one of the old focus... The BMW needs a proper detail which I will do when I have some spare time. As for mods, Im sure it wont be long before they start The mod bug will probably bite me with this car, just hoping it waits until my bank balance recovers a bit!!! |

I assume there is no problem with installing a JB4 or Cobb tune over this then? I know with some tunes in the Focus they lock the ECU so it cant be retuned |
