17 x 9 +52mm

Hello,

I am looking to stuff a 275/40 R17 A6 on the rear of the 135i. Does anyone know of a 17 x 9 wheel at a 52mm offset?

It might... tough to say. You're trailblazing with that fitment and might not be a bad idea to buy them locally from somebody that won't mind mounting up tires for you. One thing for sure, with ET52 up front on 17x9's, you're going to have 15mm+ spacers. You have camber plates, which makes things different for you regarding front tire size.

What are you thinking of for tire up front? You are not getting anywhere near a 275 up there, and you are looking at a staggered setup. A 255 A6 will be extremely tough to fit, even with mega camber, as they are quite a bit fatter than a street tire.

17 x 9 40mm (spacers?) 245/40/17 A6 front
17 x 9 53mm? 275/40/17 A6 rear

If I can find a wheel. I might have to have something made. Maybe I will resell them after a find an offset that works

Hello Charles1,

I've been following your 1 auto-x story and build closely. Great review of the TC Kline Koni's. Please continue to share your experience. If I end up with a 1, I will most likely make similiar "improvements" for autocross and track days.

Here is something you might find helpful before you order some custom wheels...

My friend who drifts a Mustang professionally is getting one of these before he specs some custom wheels.

Best Regards,

I would guess it would be pretty acurate for wheels but tires vary so much it might have a hard time giving you good info. At least it should get you a ballpark.

Like mentioned, a 255 Bridgestone can be a lot more narrow than a 255 Hosier A6, V710, etc. Good luck!

Understand ppl are running 275/35/18 - 245/40/18 on stocks. I am going to give that a shot for the track.
