Re-use stock RFTs once taken off?

Quick question...

If I put a winter tire on my stock wheels for a few months, could I put the stock RFTs back on the wheels next summer?

Thanks in advance!

They are just like any other tire. Yes, you can put them back on.

Great news! I'm not familiar with RFTs and I wasn't sure if they were beadlocked or not. Thanks very much.

Its not a good idea to keep unmounting and remounting tires over and over. Plus the cost of doing it.

Just get a set of winter tires/wheels for around $1,000+

Go to Tirerack.

Yeah, I was only going to be doing this for the first winter. After that, I'd keep the winter tires on the stock wheels and get some new summers.

I wouldn't do it. I tried it a couple of years back, and they ruined two of the tires taking them off, so I had to replace the two.

Was is the tires' fault or the guy who was changing them?

Exactly. Make sure the shop has experience with runflats as the rims are different. A few years ago a local Firestone/Bridgestone dealer admitted that he would sell me the OEM Potenza 050A run-flats for my Z4, but wouldn't attempt to mount them as he didn't have the proper equipment.
