Build Quality
Hi Guys,
Recently on FOX there was a Documentary shown on how the z4 Roadster was made. An awesome episode when you think your car is being made using a somewhat similar process. I did however start thinking as the 1 Series Cars are made in Germany what is the build quality like? Of all you guys who are lucky enough to get thier cars are you happy with the quality? Any issues? |

Lower dash plastic a little on the hard side... and there's the self cracking 3rd brake light issue (that I thankfully have not yet experienced). Apart from that no complaints.... very happy so far.

Other than the already mentioned poor quality plastics (the bonnet release is just shite), slightly orange peel paint and the overhead light shade that falls off, it is a very nicely put together jigger.

i think the build quality is nothing to drool over but certainly fine enough for a basic BMW. it is minimalist, functional and effective as it should be. so, overall, i think it works well.

- a small rattle/buzzing from driver side door
- similar buzzing from instrument cluster or glove box area, can't pinpoint it - cracked 3rd brake light

No problems with mine so far. It's a world apart from my WRX which was a bit on the nasty side as far as the interior goes.
