Hello from Canada: WTB E87

I'm Mike. In Canada we can import cars that are 15 years & older that do not meet our & USA standards. With that in mind I'm thinking of trying to buy a 1 series 5 door from 2004 and up to about July 2005. Now I'm talking car age, not first registration.
I expect very few if anyone here has a car that old but I'm just putting this feeler out there. I have been looking thru mobile.de and do see some nice examples.
I would probably need work thru a broker or other trustworthy individual. Since the car would be shipped here via boat, probably something close to a Northern port, ie:Bremerhaven.
I welcome comments. I served 4 yrs in southern Germany and presently own a very nice 2008 128, 6MT w/sport pkg (62K miles) that I bought 9 yrs ago in Brunswick Ga.
