Finished production, already on the way to "exit port".

Could I be so lucky that my 09, 9-1 production AW/Coral finished production today and is already on the truck, skipping the dreaded "waiting for transportation"? According to the BMW 1-800 number it is on the way to the exit port.

Is it possible that they are producing two years at once? My 2008 supposedly finished production only three days ago. Only two days before you say yours did. I don't think they could change the assembly line that fast.

Did any of you order the new iDrive on your 09s? I would really like to see how they integrated the larger screen into the dash. I didn't really care for the pre-productions photos that I saw posted in another thread.

I am really excited for all of us that are close to getting our 2009's! I am told my 135 is "in production" expect the baby to be built by next week, if not sooner.

We did order the iDrive so I'll post pics when I get mine but I bet others will have the new iDrive pics up sooner.

Since the BMW NA web site still has the '08 configurator, I thought I would check out the UK site to see if they had a photo of the new iDrive in the 135. The configurator makes no mention of the model year designation but when I clicked on the professional navigation option, there it was.

It's a big improvement over the flip up screen but it still looks like an afterthought. I think it's going to need some more protection from the sun and glare. I wish it would have a style that better matches the hood over the instrument panel.

It's funny how the UK site still shows the car with left hand drive.
