Any new car plans in 2013?

Does anyone have plans for getting into something new in 2013? If so will you be getting another 1er or getting into another serious or brand? I for one will be in my 135 until 2014

I should have my new 2013 back from repair soon. It was 4 days old hit on door handle Monday after thanksgiving and is still waiting on parts from Germany. So for me I have s new car coming that I have already paid for.

My 128 goes out of warranty in July. Debating an extended warranty, but I am very open to trading, if I get a good deal (extra oil changes, car has not seen snow nor salt). I'd probably get another 128, largely because if would be one last opportunity to get a NA inline-six. I'm not seriously considering changing makes or models.

The only reason I cant buy an 1M bc its manual. I would be all over it if they had a DCT.

My 1 has extended warranty til 2014. I don't really know why I keep that in mind since I'm slowly creeping up to FBO, plus my meth.

My Honda SUV is creeping on 200K miles, but it's still running strong so no reason to change it until it starts becoming more trouble than it's worth.

So no new cars for me. My dad's up for a new one, though, and since he knows I like cars he listens to me a lot, so it's pretty much like I'm shopping for a car too.

My 28yo son wants to buy my car so I'm thinking of ordering a 2013. Exact same options but there is a new color - Mineral Grey - that I like. Only bad thing is that I'll lose the heated steering wheel (not available with M-sport package because of the M steering wheel). On the plus side, a 2013 128i will be the last NA straight-six and hydraulic PS that BMW sells in North America.

Wear gloves, the engine is worth it . Turbo is good for power, but when I really fell in love with the car was test driving a manual 128i... before picking up an auto 135i off a lot lol.

Your son's very lucky to have you as a father, since I'm sure you'll cut him a decent deal and he gets an awesome car.

Well, we're very lucky parents to have two wonderful children (also a 26yo daughter). Both are healthy, smart, good careers and with good partners. BMWs are great but a healthy, happy family is the best!

There's a very good chance I'll move up to an M3 in the next couple years, although I'm still contemplating a 1M as well.

The 1 series is great considering I'm not quite married yet and have no plans for children in the near future. I've always been partial to a lot of power in a small package. And as I've stated in a previous thread, the 1er let's me say things like "she's basically a two seater". And "the backseats are tiny, you wouldn't be comfortable back there". =p

Yeah going to need one when my son gets my MazdaSpeed 3 in the spring. The 128 is leased and not driven too much- my wife mainly uses it. I don't want the next one leased- it will be a purchase since it will be driven the most and be my work commuter. On the short list X1, X3 and also considering a Subaru WRX.

Why not keep your 128 and pay it off? Getting the extended warranty for it, or saving money for maintenance/parts/repairs would certainly be less expensive than buying a brand new 128.

Maintenance and more maintenance. Maybe pick up an old e30/36 manual.

Thinking about a Cadillac ATS-V when it comes out. May not be until 2014. Have to see how the performance and road tests look.

Not this year, but have my next car down to a tee:

F30 335i Sedan Custom Order
Alpine White/Teracotta
Manual
M Sport Package
Premium Package
Cold Weather Package
Harmon Kardon

Comes in at about 49k. I will make the move in a couple years probably.
