I've had megan racing toe arms installed for the last 2 years or so. recently trying to diagnose noise from the rear so i pulled them out of the car.
turns out it wasn't the toe arms, they're still good from what i can tell (tight with no play). however I've noticed the boots have come off the joints (see photos) now i imagine if i left this long enough dirt and water would get in and ruin the joints. has anyone seen this before or have a solution?. it appears there's a recess where a spring clip could be used to hold the boot but it looks like this would be near impossible to install without disassembly of the rod ends... is it possible to use something like safety wire to tie it up?
I have the same toe arms. is only one side of the boot that came off? all others ok? I should check mine too. |
