ONE small little mod ~ blackout
I've decided to go with a blackout theme on my car, I know so original right? haha it sounds a little repetitive but I am definitely going to try and keep it as unique as possible...heres just a little sneak peak so far. More mods on their way, a few you've never seen on a 1 before!
picture is in terrible lighting but like before just a sneak peak and i know haters are gonna hate but i like it for now

I am not a fan of tinting tail lights, however, I like what you did. i think tinting the white stripe looks a lot better than tinting the whole taillight. I think our black cars need some contrast to them, it brings out the lines and the sexiness. But that is just my opinion.
Tell us how you did it, I may do it to mine.

mitch and hondagonerouge- thats not my real plate, just photoshopped that on their instead of doing the swirl or just leaving it blank...good idea for a plate i guess haha
basheezy - I had a tint shop do it, I could have done it myself but it was a really good price and it took them about 20 minutes so i just soaked up some socal rays and talked to my girl while they did it. they charged me $25. but like I said you could just buy a small little roll and diy its really not hard, ive done it on other cars jzhang - maters gonna mate! ichiban - It was the darkest of the 3. They werent rated on percentages because its a tail/headlight vinyl film not a window tint. You can buy it a lot of places or order it online @ stickercity.com and im sure many other places. stoutnj89 - nitto invos are awesome!! super sticky, they may feel a little floaty if youre going from run-flats to non-runflats just because the sidewall isnt as stiff. but overall the ride quality is a lot smoother and i can put my foot on the gas without having to see the stupid DSC warning light! sargetony - yea im not a fan of tinting the whole thing, looks out of place to me especially on a bimmer . But I think this gave my rear end a little bit more aggressive look

Looks good to me!
it looks like your bumper cover is bowed up a little bit over from the left where it meets the bottom of the deck lid.

Man, carbon fiber diffusers look so much better than the stock plastic. I actually prefer my 128i rear bumper to the M-Sport rear bumper because I think the stock plastic looks cheap, but I think a CF diffuser is the best option by far. Spendy, though.
And I agree about only tinting the reverse lights. Looks way better than tinting the whole thing. Usually people overdo it IMO. Yours looks like it could almost be OEM blacklines or something. I might've gone just a shade lighter, but it's hard to say without seeing it in person. Love the license plate, even if it's fake. How long do you think before someone gets a real one made? (Who knows, it might be me!) The only thing I don't really care for is the blacked out "135i." I think a debadge is just so much cleaner looking. The blacked out letters and roundels and things just make it look like people are trying too hard, but that's just me. Overall, nice job! |

I love the dry carbon look. Too bad iCarbon stopped making their 135i pieces with it. Atleast that is what they told me when I ordered my front lip and diffuser. Looks awesome.
