New Autoweek coupe article. Only a couple new tidbits.

http://www.autoweek.com/apps/pbcs.dl.../60221008/1024

As speculated, it will not appear in Geneva, rather in a "few weeks".

Also the hard-top cab will debut in Sept at Paris.

And the article boldy states:
This coupe will be one of the first BMWs to use an advanced twin-turbo 3.0-liter inline six. To be introduced in a range-topping 335Ci model, it gets new direct injection technology, unveiled in Geneva and dubbed HPI (High Precision Injection) in combination with BMW’s existing Variotronic system. The engine betters today’s naturally aspirated 3.0-liter inline six by 41 hp at 306 hp. Torque peaks at a solid 300 lb-ft across a band of revs stretching from 1500 to 5800 rpm.
Who knows if they know which countries they are speaking for.

i hate when they say "few weeks" because that's couldn't be more ambiguous. i wonder what's their reasoning for waiting until after the geneva show to make the official announcement.

BTW I read in Leftlane news that in fact the Valvetronic system is retained for the turbo as well.

This is all the press release says

"A further important point is that this turbocharged version of BMW’s six-cylinder comes with the same extra-light camshafts as on the normal aspiration engine, variable, double-VANOS camshaft adjustment, as well as an electrically driven coolant pump operating only as required (that is as a function of current
cooling requirements)."

Nothing about valvetronic
