Thanks all - I got everything done yesterday and the car feels great. Actually feels better than before. No throttle response changes that I can feel - just pulls like a freight train and smooth.

I think you guys need your "butt dyno" calibrated.

You don't feel the loss of "throttle respsonse" - post SW update?

Definitely don't feel it and I've got a pretty sensitive BD.

1yr's a long time to go between oil changes - I'm definitely feeling that. Car revs easier, thing feels and sounds more loose n lubed, lol. Now Injust gotta clean my DCI's and degrease my swaybar bushings, ugh.
Oh and get some DPs!

Dack, you and I, and others, have experienced a lack of throttle response, but remember we have an N54 that has a throttle plate. The N55 doesn't have one, so it makes sense that that engine won't have the same issues with response as we have.

So, did you put the JB4 back?
Is all that freight train before or after JB4?

I hear you. But there have been other N55 owners who also noticed a decrase in throttle response. I think that not everyone can feel it. For me it was realy bad (more noticeable) the more I drove the car post SW update. For the first few days I really did not notice it. But once I did... I really hated the way bmw had changed the engine response.

I have a 2010 - N54. No change in throttle response. Others have said their N54's experienced no negative change as far as throttle response.

After the JB4. So car went in with JB4, came out with JB4. Noticably ran smoother/better. Just sayin'. Probably the oil change, LOL.

N54, got it.

We do have 'some' who experienced no negatives. But, we more who have.
Also, in the description of the problem, many drivers don't feel what I've described, or it simply doesn't bother them. That's fine. If it doesn't bother the driver, then even better. For those of us who do feel the lack of response, the issue SUCKS.

Remember, this is not a "lag" issue related to turbo pressure.
If you don't feel it, that's good, very good.

One more thing, those who have ecu programming changes, don't seem to notice this issue. I think that's because the power increase is such a noticeable quality that the throttle issue isn't even noticed.
Or, the software has it's own DBW throttle response curves.

I was wondering if the fact I have a JB4, if it "makes up for" or "fills in the gap" if you will where/if the ECU's throttle response in my car did indeed change - maybe it did, but the JB4 has compensated for it. I don't know.
