I have a bold and my girl has the curve 8900. Love em. We are text junkies tho. iphones suck majorly at texting. Probrably from no physical buttons bieng pushed. I have an ipod touch and that is how I know. Love the touch and love the iphone but I just cant get over the predictive text on the iphone. I was using the touch to text my girl while i was in iraq and I probrably had to send every message twice. Apps rock tho. IMO the perfect combo is Bold+itouch.

I just got a 3GS about a week ago and the blutooth works fine. I had them put in the ipod connector after I bought the car, so it is in the glove compartment, so I never tried it with the iPhone. I am not sure how you would access the apps like Pandora, Last.fm, etc... while it is plugged into the adapter. Is that even possible?
I love my iPhone...I am not a texter, so my tastes are different from HondaGoneRogue. I am going to order these soon to get it setup in my car: Item No. 915290 - Adjustable Holder with Tilt Swivel and Pass-Through Connector Item No. 833524 - ProClip Console Mount |

Wow I just got the Iphone 3GS 32gb version. It's simply amazing. Bluetooth works fine with my car. It's easily the most advanced phone I've ever used in my life and surprisingly the easiest. Very user friendly. It seems years ahead over everything else. I've also been using the LG Renoir 8mp phone and the Blackberry Bold 9000 which have also been good in their own way but the iphone is like a mini computer. I also recently switched to a macbook pro and it syncs perfectly with my iphone. I bought dynolicious yesterday but I am yet to test it out. I hope to get some good times. I'm also going to enquire about snap-in adaptor for the iphone. Overall, I definitely recommend iphone over any other phone. It's so fast, you have to try one out.

I just upgraded my iPhone 3g to a 3gs (with 3.1 OS) last night and the 3gs charges fine with my original Y cable.

+1 I hear ya!!!
I actually find the iphone the best phone I've ever used for texting. I've used a blackberry and various other makes before but I like that the iphone creates a separate thread for each contact so you can see the entire conversation. Sometimes I forget what I've sent in previous texts or what texts I've already read, but all the conversation is in in one neat thread. I have had the phone for a few weeks and I find the keypad very easy to use now too! |

i agree the format of the text messaging on the iphone is good. i like how its threaded. BUT i like that my blackberry allows me to permanently save certain text messages and hide them in a different folder and i type as fast as i do on my computer on my blackberry

Seems like a split in charging abilities. I have an iPhone 3G and mine won't charge when connected, which blows since originally I was told it would. Now I'm running a separate car charger for my phone while my iTouch is plugged in for music. Kind of a pain, will try and see if I can get a new cable from my dealer, hopefully that fixes the problem

I don't about that. Apple is the epitomy of capitalism; great marketing, high prices, high demand, high sales, but great product. |

The integration with the iPhone 3GS is great, i only use bluetooth and the aux jack, it's fine.
You'll be fine , it's the most popular smartphone out there. William |

So I picked up my snap in adaptor for my iPhone 3GS today. Very easy to install, just remove the plastic try and it clicks straight in. The smart phone integration option was not available as an option from factory when I ordered the car so I am not able to play music from my iphone 3GS. You need to have specified this option from factory if you want to use this function.
It does however sit in the arm rest very nicely and it charges my iphone which is all I wanted it for. I have a 32GB flash stick plugged into the USB slot which I leave in the car permanently and it plays all my music flawlessly and has more than enough space. This works well for me as I never plan to leave my iphone in the car and if somebody ever breaks into my car all they will steal is my USB stick which can be easily replaced. There was no 'warning message' or 'airplane mode' message when I plugged it in, the snap in adaptor works a charm. Very happy with the purchase and I recommend it to anyone who needs a dedicated place to put their iphone and keep it charged while driving. I am yet to properly test out the sound and reception quality because I'm told by using the snap in adaptor it uses the cars external antenna. I made a quick call and it doesn't seem any better, which isn't a bad thing because it worked fine before. |
