Have you used your backseat for anything yet?

All this talk of back seat space...have you used your back seat for ANYTHING yet? Going out with tall friends, kids, your kids' friends, seats down with lumber for your bathroom renos...

...nooky????

Or are we all just solitary commuters and BMW is wasting its time trying to give us 3 more mm's of knee space??

There's another recent thread on this topic. Have a look. Mine is used a lot. Car seat mounted in the back. If I didn't have a need, I would be driving a 2 seater probably.

I've put some folks back there myself. It's also nice for backpacks, shopping bags, and the like.

My 2 kids (12 and 15) sit back there occasionally, and it's a good place for my briefcase...

Otherwise, I actually would have bought the coupe if it were available. But really, the sedan looked so sharp I didn't mind getting 4 doors this time.

Considering all my friends own coupes, and Im the only one with sedan(my first ever sedan),
I always haul them lazy asses around. Perhaps, they want to be in a BMW
instead of hondas anyway.

Otherwise, I use rear-cup holders(Iam always drinking something).
I find them quite useful, very easy to reach. Easier the front ones.
I also put my university books, backpacks, and clothing in the rear seats.

I somehow don't want to mess up the clean spacious trunk.
So my car, Front and Trunk is really clean. Rear seat area is dirty.

Yeah I know, Im weird.

I have been driving and usually have 3 people in my car when we go out. None of the people in the back have complained about leg room in the back seat. But it definitely becomes a problem when you try to fit 3 in the back seat

Ha ha, basically I wanted the "you know what" answers....nice to know the seats work for that!!LOL

I have bought two brand new black and red booster seats for my little girls for the car. Their current car seats gouge seats too much, and the boosters are nice and flat. Also I don't want junky old unmatching car seats in my classy new car (call me anal, OCD, .....WHATEVER!).

I have had a few people in my back seat and they didn't complain too much about the space. They said it was much better than the VW Jetta I had a couple of years ago and comparable to the space in my wife's Volvo S60.

As for cargo space, I used the folding rear seats for the first time past weekend. I went to Ikea and bought a table, 4 chairs, and some dishes. Seeing the 2 carts of furniture, I didn't think it would fit, even with the rear seats folded. Amazingly, all of the boxes fit into the trunk and I actually put the rear seats back into the regular position. I ended up putting some of the dishes in the back seat to avoid breaking anything. I even went to the supermarket and put about 4-5 bags of groceries in the trunk on the way home.

My friends and family are very happy at the back.

You know, all of them said the back feels so different than the front seat. I wish I can try sitting at the back sometime while messing around corners. But then.. who is going to drive it? lol...
