yeah from what i heard the states are alot better than canada, here in ontario i think we have some of the highest rates around, all a money grab.
got quoted for 426.96 a month from bel-air (for canadians paying attention) lol ah well, i just have to relax a bit, take it up the ass for a year till 25 and the "at fault" goes off my record |

This is the Canadian regional forum, might want to try somewhere else.
What someone else is paying is kind of useless anyway... there are hundreds of variables when it comes to insurance rates.

I am still very suprised how many Americans have posted on this thread here since this is in the Canadian regional forum.. However there is a thread about insurance rates and quotes on the other side =)

just if it helps:
I got a rate from TD meloche monnex, mind you, I have a group discount (very substantial) it was 139 or so per month with a clean record... when I filled in my somewhat rcent conviction for speeding under 49 over... it went up to 150+ per month. I'm a young single male in AB, no accidents, driving for 10 years or so. A friend at work says he got the best rates ever by calling ING directly... might help. (To the person who originally started the thread) shop around; that quote is insanely expensive... even if you multiply mine by 2, which is what the discount is supposed to be, it isstill outrageous... |

Yup, those are pretty much the same numbers I got. Also coming from an RSX, am very surprised. Meloche Monnex quoted me $1498 with full glass. $1000000 liability, $1000 decuctible, and 250 Comp. And that includes the coverage for the purchase price of a new vehicle for 5 years in the event of a write off.

I'm 34 and I got a quote today at $750.00 from www.bnc.ca
I expect to get a better price from my friend at ING Direct.
