I would have paid extra for half cloth half leather seats—especially the black/black with blue contrast stitching . I love the half cloth half leather in my Ti and they've held up astonishingly well over it's 13 year life span.

I'd love to have a cloth option as well. Leather is just expensive vinyl. It's hot and sticky in the summer and cold in the winter.
I'd take quality cloth seats over the leather BMW uses in a second. 40k miles and my driver's seat looks awful. |

That brown in the above shot I took yesterday was really a nice classy color. "Merrakesch Braun Metalic" I think the interior was even in that brown int in the OP pic.
You can go to BMW's "konfigurator" click on "MODELLUBERSICHT"m it is in the middle right of that car pic. Then just click away options and interiors. Click on the small BLUE play pointers to advance to the next selection. It is not obvious!! You can see how many choices BMW gives its German customers! ELEVEN cloth color choices and FIVE leather options! http://www.bmw.de/de/de/general/conf...figurator.html Btw... in the above 1-er coupe I took a pic of... did anyone notice the play on his lic plate tag? I think this coupe must be a 123d bc the numbers are reversed! Those krafty krauts! |

Tell me about it. I'm a sucker for just about anything with contrast stitching though.

That's great! But those looks like all leather and not half cloth. I posted a link to a pic of the half cloth seats form the German configurator up above. Where's that pic from? Never seen a one with leather and contrast stitching.

The above blue stiching can be order on the EU cars. Not US models. Just one more thing we can not HAVE!!!!
Like dark (factory) tinted rear windows, we can not have them. |

As one or two others have mentioned, you can get half-cloth, just not from the factory. Simply take your car to a local auto upholstery place and have them recover whatever part of the seats you like with whatever material/color you like. They cut out or unstitch the leather from that area and replace it with the material you choose. Somewhat risky so good to check Yelp or search for former customers but it's definitely worth considering.
