brake rubbing?
So today I'm at an off-ramp and hear a slight metallic sound on my rear left wheel. I pull over and notice the brake is rubbing and has put a slight groove (about 1/4 inch wide and just enough to feel with finger nail) into the rotor.
here's a couple of photos - any suggestions from those of you who have experience with this type of issue? My car has 15K miles, do I need new brakes (no issues reported at 14K service)? Thanks for your help. Z |

Looks like you've got something between the pad and the rotor. I'd pull the pad and clean it off. It's pretty unlikely you need new brakes with only 15k on the car.

Probably a stone. It is only the rears, so no drama.
