Early photo shop of 135i

Found this while doing image search. It's an early photoshop of the 135i. Just thought some might be interested to see how sexy it would have looked if BMW went with this styling. Love the stance and the headlight treatment especially

they have that style here in germany for the early 90s 3 series models....looking at them from the rear you would think it got rear ended

the headlights make it look more like a japanese car. also not feeling the low roof and tall doors/tail. i like the foglights though.

Yah gotta admit that the PSer came pretty damn close to the real thing though...

I agree, I like the integrated fog lights and that's it.

The sides reminds me of a Lancer or previous body style TSX. Back looks like an RSX or even a S40/S60 Volvo...

Pretty damn close, I agree. Compared to the real 1er, it looks like its pants are hiked up to high... Way too gimmicky on the front end, and some of the corners are way too soft. It was a good indication of things to come, but not as good as the real thing.

BMW should have built the 135i as M1 with performance suspension and other weight saving parts.

Looks clumsy, especially the rear quarter. I guess it was a good guess if they had no real images to go by. The sides look too massive and the windows too small.
