Exhaust +police siren

Just wondering if there is any one else out there that gets a police siren sound coming from the turbos right around two grand. I can here it pretty well with the cp-e mid pipes but its only when the car is under load. Anyone else expierencing the same thing?

Yup.

Under light throttle esp when the engine isn't warmed up.

I dont know what exhaust you have but is it pretty loud. Not defining or anything just really noticble. also is there anyone else that can hear this?

Sorry......stock exhaust and DCI.

It's subtle,but loud enough that I notice it when the engine is cold.

I have always put it down to having DCI which would allow the sound of the turbos to feed directly into the engine compartment unabated.

Ya I hear it with stock everything to you just really have to listen for it. So no one else hears this?

It is just those two little turbos screaming. Nothing to worry about.

dont wanna jack the thread...but i do kinda.

anyone heard a BOV like sound when accelerating in 1st or 2nd gear to the limiter and shift? not as loud as a BOV but its slightly noticable.

Police siren?
Im pretty sure I would be freaked out if my car made a noise that sounded like a police siren.

But, I think you're just hearing the turbos spooling.
My car is all stock and with the windows down I can hear the spool and the blowoff (VTA) very clearly.

Its not a sucking sound by any means it sounds exactly like a poilice siren

go 20 sec into this vid and that is the exact same noise. But I can only hear it under load not just by reving it like in the video.

welcome to turbo cars... yes you'll hear blow off if you really listen (it still dumps, just dumps recirc). You'll also hear turbo spool etc.

Concerning the video you linked: I'm not hearing anything like a police siren, lol. But, if you have the noise that the engine in that video does, that's bad.
That's turbo bearing.
You should have the dealership take a look at it.

check at 20secs in it sounds exactly like it hahaha

If its during heavy load acceleration its normal, but if it sounds like that when you rev it, its signs of a turbo failure...

i kinda freaked out when i first heard it, but told myself it's probably the bov...
