**********s | Project 135i - Forgestars, aFe, JB3...
Hey Guys,
Wheels just came in and just wanted to share what we've done so far with the **********s 135i. It's the CEO of **********s, Mike Brown's personal daily driver. 2008 BMW 135i Premium and Sports package Mods: - Vitex Amber-Gone (Gunsmoked) - aFe Stage 2 Cold Air Intake - aFe Cat Back Exhaust - JB3 Plug and Play 18" Brushed Titanium Forgestar F14 F: 18x8.5, 45 offset, 235/40/18 Falken FK-452 R: 18x9.0, 54 offset, 265/35/18 Falken FK-452 [u2b][/u2b] Here she is brand new and bone stock. Here's the car on 2/20/2010 at the Forgestar Photoshoot It's a great little car, I finally got a chance to get behind the wheel and its quick as hell! Anyways Mike really enjoys it and also remarked that there was a noticeable difference with the lightweight Forgestars' as well. Thanks for viewing guys! Kevin |

I'm not sure if I did that 100% correctly though. I uninstalled the JB3 literally as we were hooking the car up to the dyno. Just set it to MAP 0 and left it installed but inactive as MAP 0 means it is doing nothing. However, I didn't allow the engine time to adjust to MAP 0 before doing our baseline dyno. I am not sure if this made my stock numbers read higher or not. I know that when you first install the JB3, it takes a bit of time for the car to adjust to the new settings, although most of the gains are seen instantly.
It's just one of those gray areas. Who knows if me not driving the car for ~300 miles on MAP 0 threw off my baseline reading and led to my intake, exhaust, & throttle body spacer not showing their full potential. It could have. We all know that here on the forums everyone will just argue about it and not agree anyways right? Just wanted full disclosure on our procedure. |
