Good news clip...

I'm not sure why!?!?! I don't know if you've ever looked at his previous designs ( the Opel Junior concept, the Fiat Coupe or the Alpha Romeo 145), but they are truly works of art!

As my good bud socom pointed out, Bangle didn't design the new 3. As BMW's "Chief of Design", I thought he might have had at least a hand in it, but apparently he's just a figurehead of some sort and earns his salary providing some other services. Maybe BMW has decided to outsource his badly needed expertise to Toyota?

Leasing

I'll up the ante and say the 130i will be introduced in the next two years to fill the gap of the low end BMW range. I think there are a lot of young male professionals that want a powerful bimmer, but not the "entry-level-luxo" look of the 330i. I hope BMW won't follow Audi's totally botched intro of the A3 (next to no adverts, terrible lease).

acd, what lease was Audi offering for the A3 that was terrible? I've never leased before and I'm a bit curious about the ins-and-outs of leasing.

Thanks in advance!

All that needs to be said is that the A3 was more expensive to lease than an A4.

The salesman told me that the A3 was supposed to be the rich daddy's gift to the child going off to college, to be paid in cash. That turned me off right then and there. I think the lease rate was aroun $550/mo for a $30,000 car!
