M sport package options

Just took delivery of my 135 cab and loving every minute of it....

My car is fully loaded except for active steering. What I notice when I took delivery is all the exterior window trim is the brush aluminum. The brocher clearly indicates that the high gloss shadow line trim is only exclusive to the M sport package. The SA didn't even indicate to me if I had an option for picking.

So I'm meeting with the managers tommorow to discuss this issue and I want to get as much info as I can from others here that ordered there 1's with the M sport package. What did you get? Is it different from coupes and cabs?

I just checked out bmw.ca...

The coupe has the shadowline trim as part of the M-Sport, but the cab doesn't. Seems like what you got is correct, and besides, you don't get to choose whether or not you want the trim.

But the brocher indicates for cabs that shadowline trim is exclusive to the Msport.....

Maybe the brochure has an error in it?

I just checked some pics that I took at a BMW meet about a month ago, and one of the members (Hot_Ride) has a CR 135i cab (09 I believe). It has M-Sport, and the pics I have show his trim being the regular chrome, not shadowline...

The brochure definitely shows shadowline trim as an option:

High-gloss Shadow Line includes A-pillar
accents, mirror frame, and base in high-gloss
black (available only on the BMW 135i with
M Sport Package).

I found that on the Canadian cabrio brochure at:
http://crm.bmw.ca/com/en/newvehicles..._catalogue.pdf

on p9 it shows the trim and then on p17 it says:
The already athletic design of the BMW 135i is further enhanced by a High-gloss Shadow Line, with window recess finishers in highgloss
black,

I have a coupe M-Sport and it has the shadowline trim. Do you have all of the other m-sport stuff like double spoke wheels, M door sills, M dead-pedal etc?

Hope that helps..!

I'm not sure if it is an error or if it is an option that the dealership doesn't tell you to choose. I know it wasn't something my dealership asked me about when ordering. I have never seen a 135 cab with M-Sport with shadow line trim.

I'm going to push for the shadow line trim. It was clearly stated in the brochure and no where did it say that it would come with the aluminum. Its worth a try....

I am trying to understand what you mean, where is the exterior window trim, since you have a soft top? I can only see a small length of trim on the front window just ahead of the mirror. I doesn't change on the configurator between ther M-Sport or regular versions, and shadowline trim does not come up on any of the descriptions.

Here is the M-Sport description for the coupe:

Includes: 18" M Double Spoke Alloy Wheels - Style 261M, Performance Run-Flat Tires: 215/40 R 18 & 245/35 R 18, (Not recommended for Winter use), Sport Seats, M Sport Steering Wheel and Shift Lever, Anthracite Roof Liner, High Gloss Shadow Line.

Here it is for the Cab

Includes: 18" M Double Spoke Alloy Wheels - Style 261M, Performance Run-Flat Tires: 215/40 R 18 & 245/35 R 18, (Not recommended for Winter use), Sport Seats (includes electrically adjustable seat width), M Sport Steering Wheel and Shift Lever

And here is what the brochure says:

the trim I'm talking about is the one in the bottom right picture shown above. It runs along the A pillar and runs around the top of the door frame to the back of the trunk. I got everything else with the m sport except for the trim. I don't mind it but I don't think it will go with the carbon pieces and wheels I will be getting.

so met with the manager and they will take it up with BMW. He agreed with me but did mention that the brocher does have a note mentioning that BMW reserves the right to change things from what is actually offered. I guess we'll see.

Good luck! I think AT LEAST they should be able to get you the same trim done in shadowline.

Update...
So BMW has responded to the shadow line trim for Cabs.... They indicate that the shadow line trim gets scratch from the convertible top since it closes and seals up against it. This is why they use the brush aluminum for better wear with the top sealing with it. That sucks cause I really wanted the shadow line.

Interesting response. My car is silver so having the brushed aluminum looks good.
