Rear View Mirror Mount?

Had my windshield replaced last summer, so now the rear view mirror just falls off the glass as I'm driving. I have the mirror disconnected at the harness, just wondering how the round mounting piece gets removed from the mirror. Don't want to break! Thanks for any help!

It rotates of the mounting plate on the glass. your trick it to be able to rotate it out with scratching the mating surface. You would just spin the mirror off by rotating it at the stem. You may be able to pry it out with a screw driver also.

Thanks for the reply! The mounting "disk" is not attached to the windshield,is there a particular way to rotate the mirror? CW or CCW? Guess I would have to hold the disk with a pliers or something....

The mirror has the prongs, it goes either way cw or ccw.
