I was planning to test drive today, but it looks like the rain is here for the next 3 days. No real point in test driving the car until the streets are dry.

How big is the wheel gap of 330 with SP? It looks larger than the previous model. 530 with SP has a quite small wheel gap. What do you guys think?

Orange indicator clusters - horrid . Is it the law that you have to have them in the US? Saw mine at the garage for the first time today. Quite dirty but I'm sure she'll be gleaming when I pick up tomorrow (today even )

Yes, DOT law says there must be an amber reflector on the front of the car.

I thought you could have a clear reflector with orange bulbs?

heh he, Mark, what happened to black is the new black?
I've convinced myself that TiAg is the new black, if that makes any sense.

Thanks for the cool pics! They're smashing.

I get exactly what you're saying Yea silver might just be the new black.. and as a bonus, silver is sooo easy to maintain. I'm still where you were a month ago, still decididing and any given day things could swing.. but overall, i like silver the most now

US DOT (Department of Transportation for non-US readers) requires orange reflectors on the front sides of the vehicle regardless the coloration of the lenses or the light bulbs. Even in US e46 coupes with clear lenses there is an orange reflector embedded in the front bumper. That reflector isn't found on EU spec coupes. I actually like the orange on the e90 better, but I am really ticked off about the red rear turn indicators, UGH! That said it didn't stop me from ordering one.

Even if you were to switch your lights to the Euro-spec clear assembly, by law you would be required to place some sort of orange reflector meeting DOT standards on the front sides. To my knowledge, no one actually enforces that against individuals but manufacturers certainly have to tow the line. Some states with aggressive enforcement might fail your vehicle inspection or ticket you, but I doubt in most places you'd get any flack.
