Safe Snow Brush?

Searched this forum and detailing forum for this. Lots of snow tire info, but I did not find anything on snow brushes. All those I've ever had or seen in the stores are pretty stiff can scratch. Has anyone found one that does not scratch? How about those snow 'blades'? I'm referring to those stiff, rigid foam boards about 18"x5" or so attached to a handle. Even though my car is garaged, at some point it's likely to get snowed on. I'd hate to have all these nice microfiber towels that are softer than anything I've ever seen in the baby care aisle only to destroy the finish in one snowstorm.
Thanks.

I just brush my windows. Ain't no snow brush going onto my paint.

Seriously though, this just popped up in my head...I wonder how a leafblower would fare to blow off all the snow on top of the roof.

Blower won't work if it's sunny right after a snow fall. Only works on fresh powder. If your car is remotely warm inside, parked, then snows, it'll be ice on top haha. In terms of snow brush, just be gentle and have your car winterized with sealants and waxes before winter.

While you don't need a brush to get the snow off your car, driving with snow piled up on your car is illegal in some states.

Yup, illegal to drive with snow piled on the car in my state. Maybe I can rig something up by wrapping a microfiber towel around the snow blade or brush. Still have to be gentle. Might be worth sacrificing a towel. Thanks folks.

Wax it before winter, you should be good to go with a light snow brush. I have a black car and I didn't get microscratches. If you're really scared then yeah do the microfiber thing, it won't cost much anyways

I definitely recommend a "Sno-Brum." It's made out of foam and works wonders without scratching paint.

That's what I have that I called a 'snow blade'. I didn't have it in front of me at the time. That's what I was considering wrapping in a microfiber towel but it sounds like maybe I don't have to. I'd get one dedicated to my 128. The other one is for the minivan.

A thought about the leaf blower for dry snow, Gray_Panther. I would be concerned about foreign matter in the blower. Like dust a bits of whatever that might have been stirred up and sucked into it. Shooting that at the car at 100+ mph might not be good. Wasn't a bad idea though for off the top of yer head.
