UK Confirmation of Order
Hi folks,
My current status for delivery of 1M here in the UK is as follows (as of yesterday) Deposit (£1000) paid 07 07 11 As of yesterday (visit to local dealer) my status sheet says: 'Current Event - 20/07/2011 - 1100 Scheduled' 'Production Week 50-12-2011/Expected Week 02-01-2012' The sheet of paper also confirms a 'Dir Order' number and a 'AG Order' number. Can I reasonably assume that I DEFINITELY have a car??!! TIA for all and any responses. M1ke |

Yes, I would say that you definitely have a car.
I ordered my car on the 13th June and have been given a delivery of Week 41 which is around the second week of October. However my dealer has said that it could come late September depending on production progress. Looking at the calendar, Week 50 is December 17th-24th so that ties in well with your delivery date of around early January What's also interesting is that I placed my order just before the Top Gear review. Apparently they had a surge in orders after this and although I only ordered about three weeks before you, my delivery is down for four months from order to delivery, whereas anything ordered in July appears to be coming in five to six months. I can only assume that they have had a lot of orders all within a very short period of time! |

Ordered my car at the end of June and have a confirmed order with delivery to my dealer on 02/12/11. Not keen about registering a car in December, can it be left until 1/1/12 before registering or will the dealer insist it is registered straightaway?

Given the production schedule numbers, I would say that you pretty much have it, although 1200 is more definite...

I'm assuming that you are the KMPowell that used to have a Mini and considered buying the blue TTS that I briefly owned about 3 years ago?? Are you totally chuffed with the 1M?? Cheers, Mike |

Chuffed isn't the word, totally smitten doesn't even come close either. The car is epic and I'm in love with it! Easily the best car I've ever owned (and I've owned some nice cars in my time I like to think). You aren't going to regret your purchase at all! I can feel her loosening up each day as the miles go on, it's stonkingly quick!!!
