UK owners! How much did the run-in(1200miles) service for your 1M cost you?

1 dealer quoted me 500 pounds. He is simply basing it on the price for M3
another dealer gave me the figure of 364 pounds.

Honestly, the price alone doesn't really concern me. Whether or not the dealer knows what they are doing is as some don't seem to have the correct oil and stuff in stock. Anyone care to share their experience?

After paying £1k on the vehicle invoice whilst always suggesting to my dealer that others have confirmed it as £400, they finally comfirmed it themselves with BMW UK today and have agreed to refund the £600.

Don't accept anything else.

It's £400!

Can you share the link to the page that says the above?

How much can the prices between the dealers differ??? The prices in Australia back when I was there can differ in the range of hundreds between dealers.

When I was searching earlier, I actually found another post that says 370 pounds which is very close to 1 of the figures I got.

Btw, I wonder how useful the customer star rating shown in the Dealer page is. It seems to me that every single dealer has about the same rating.

4.8-5 for sales.
3.9-4.2 for service

I just got another quote from a dealer. £300 this time. This is actually getting me more worried if they are going to be using the right fluid and stuff. The service Advisor actually said it'd be better if I bring the transmission fluid from Munich!

In my experience, the 1200 mile service on an M car has always been free. It's a pretty tight dealer that would skin you of another £400 just a few weeks after buying the car.

You seem to be quoting the Service Inclusive price, not the cost of the first service, as requested

However, the key point is, buy service inclusive.....!

My bad OP.

Clive hit the nail on the head just in time.

If they are quoting £370 for first service and some people are getting it or are suggesting that it's free, then it makes sense to buy service inclusive which us what I was suggesting as costing £400.

Phew. Disaster averted.

I've been told this morning that the 1200 mile M-Inspection service is chargeable. I also was quoted on service packs to be told the following:-

Service inclusive plan is £400.00
Service inclusive plus plan is £2760.00

I'm fairly sure that others who i've spoken to with previous M-Cars have stated that the initial service was complimentary. Maybe in tough times this now becomes a "cash cow" for dealerships in terms of...."If you can afford the car, then pay for the service!!"

Yeah, but the service inclusive price is so good, it doesn't really matter, does it.

I was told by my dealer when I was thinking about getting a 1M that the service inclusive plan was £1000 for 1M and not £400 and was non negotiable.
