HPFP Petition GTFIH
*I feel like this should be a sticky but you can be the judge*
Since no company has come out with a HPFP that can replace the faulty POS that BMW has provided us with I would like to start a thread to show the potential interest/buyers here for an aftermarket HPFP. I am hoping that in exchange it will create some interest for manufactures to design/build one for us! So if you agree and want something reliable please add yourself to the list and spread the word! I will start the list and will try to keep it updated: 1. 11N55 2. 3. 4. 5.

I would have to disagree, they designed the N54 HPFP and it is obviously flawed.
My fuel pump is fine but I only use shell gas, I have not let my gas get below a 1/4 tank and I just hit 3k miles. The reason I want a aftermarket HPFP is to provide more fuel for bigger turbos/more power...etc

Yeah, I might be interested in this if I didn't still have another 8 years / 105,000 miles remaining on the BMW HPFP warranty....

BMW isn't the only company involved in this issue, and they don't manufacture the pump themselves. |

High pressure pumps are not cheap at all. I doubt you guys would want to pay 1000 dollars+ for an aftermarket HPFP. Just ask diesel guys, it is a major repair cost. It isn't like a simple walbro subaru pump. These are complicated and tough to produce. BMW is slowly getting this thing worked out, and they even extended the warranty on them.
I just had mine replaced under the recall (no problems with the 1st one though, they just did it precautionary.)

Just talked to BMW here in Germany and my service rep performed what was supposably the 2nd HPFP recall on my car.
I didnt need a new HPFP since ive had one replaced around 20kilometers ago and i guess the part they put in is ok still. So, the service dude says there will most likely be a 3rd recall coming. Kinda odd but lately i notice slightly longer cranks and threw a HPFP code recently and they didnt replace it.
