harryn-I like your thoughts on doing suspension and brakes first and then seeing how it performs on the track before any engine mods. That's exactly what our instructors tell new HPDE students who think they need more power. They need learn their car and learn the track first. Then maybe better tires, then brakes and suspension then back to learning their car again then learning to be smoother on the track.

Best way to learn, 100% agreed.

Frankly, there are several things my car needs and moar power is not one of them. But, was curious what the options were with the N51 vs. N52.

2009 BMW 128i  [9.80]
Active Autowerke is going to release some catless long tube headers for the N51/52 within the next month or so. They are said to cost under $1000. They make a big big difference. I drove ST!G's car with the SS catless headers, very fun and great sounds

look for a 3 stage manifold disa flaps or VIN decoder websites
