I really wanted to wait some more time before a tune but this is getting to be too much. I feel like Pavlov's dog reading this thread.

best decision ever, waiting only means you'll have less time with the power

+1. Its a tough decision to make when you could make the same power (or more) with an inexspensive Juice Box. But the subtlety, and OEM feel you get from the AP tune is just how the car should have come from the factory, and justifies the cost. Not to mention the ease of installation/uninstallation, the code clearing, and monitoring guage.

I'm so glad I didnt try to save a buck. You get what you pay for, and I got exactly what I wanted.... a sh1t eat1ing grin every time I floor it.

How quick can you switch maps on this unit? Does it take a while to reload the OEM rom?

installed a jb4 a week after installing my accessport in a friends 07 335. honestly from being in the passengers seat of his car it felt very similar to mine but its like comparing apples to oranges between a 4 door 335 automatic and a 135 manual... the power is relatively the same and so is the smoothness

what you're getting is free maps as they continue to refine them and as you upgrade piece by piece (i've tried 3 already), zero time under the hood installing and uninstalling a piece of hardware, and you also don't need a laptop to data log or update it. The cobb ap you can leave in your house if you want and update it from your desktop

im a software guy by trade and would much rather refine the factory ecu than throw something that tricks the ecu on the outside but thats completely personal preference

I asked this same question on Cobb's Facebook page over the weekend, this is the answer I got...

"We are currently working on Stage2 calibrations for all supported vehicles. We will have an update when they are available!"

In short... no answer, but they're working on it.

Yeah I hear you. A fellow 1addict has to come over and help me remove the JBx every time I need to go back to the dealer. The power is amazing though, I just hate having to spend 30 minutes of a friend's time to keep disconnecting harnesses that I am sure, each time, weaken the plastic tabs that someday will break.

I can't wait to try out my Mini's accessport - bummer its married to only 1 car.

Got my Cobb today -- but detected an unrecognized ROM! :-(

So I sent my 7604628_0044CC0IHE0SIFP1S_enc.rom to rom@cobbtuning.com !

Hoping to hear back from them... VERY soon! I was almost twitching as I was starting the install...and bummer!

Are those dyno numbers in your sig from a stock 135 with the AP on a stage 1 tune?

Those are the mustang awd dyno numbers done at Cobb Austin on my bone stock 135. I've got a write up somewhere on the board with details but I basically gained about 60whp and 80wtq over stock. It's a very very noticeable increase in power for a stage 1tune

I tried to install mine last night and got an error code, the shop that sold me the unit seemed to think it has to do with the power supply and recomended I attach a trickle battery charger during the insstall. Has anyone had this problem and have this solution work for them?

Frampton, very nice power increase. Id imagine mines the same. The butt dyno is very impressed.

Jewpac, what was the error code? Maybe you should contact Cobb...

Took about 25 mins.

So you have to sit in the car for 25 mins while it uploads? Can you do it from an open window so that you don't have to sit and wait in the car?
