Is there maps from Cobb for e85? Or what would I need to do so that I could run on 100% e85? I am FBO+Meth. Just sold my JB4 and want to get a Cobb Access port, and possibly a custom tune.

Same as me, i'm running 60% e85 but also want to test cobb maps, do we have a map for that ??

I'm currently with JB4 and BMS flash

Currently an happy Vishnu Procede user thinking of trying Cobb.

Will I be happier? I really couldn't convince myself Cobb was better by reading this post.

Why should I try Cobb?

Car is fully stock (no DP, no meth, not even an intake)

To run 100% E85 you'll need an upgraded LPFP. Then you'll either need a protune or learn to use ATR and make a map yourself(using the e30 map as a starting point will help out quite a bit.)

For 60% E85 you can just run the E30 map and up the fuel scalar to keep trims in check, if it looks good then you can add some timing advance to make some more power.

I am headed to the strip in a few days time and was thinking of running 70/30 MS109/E85 with the 403 race gas map. My car is AT and FBO - should I be worried about this map? I did read the disclaimers upon download bit havent heard a great deal in terms of results from 1addicts people....

HI just checked my codes using the Accessport and I noticed a lot more codes than if I check with my obd 2 bluetooth adapter and torque pro. I received 5 codes on the Accessport but only one using my bluetooth adapter, which is the one I would expect to receive due to my catless downpipe. So I'm confused as well.

Has anyone else noticed this? One of the codes was P3490 which I believe is cylinder 12 deactivation? lmao

Are there any maps to run a mixture of 100 octane (5 gallons) and rest 93?

On the v403 map I ran a 12.1@116mph with a 2.1 60ft on stock runflats. On the v402 map, I ran a 12.0@118mph with the same 60ft same night.

Why hasn't Cobb said anything to resolve these questions?

Those codes aren't cobb specific, you'll have better luck just looking up the code on the forums or google searching it. H means it's a history code and is stored, so you may want to clear those and see if they come back.

Don't think so, why not just use the E30 maps? Or if you have access to race gas, just go full on with the race map.

hey guys i noticed with the cobb e85 maps it requires downpipes and a fmic, right now im only runing berk race axel back and bms dci, but want to experiment with e85 because i know how great the results can be i ran it and self tuned it with my AP on my mazdaspeed 3 but there isnt as clear of a way to tune for it in ATR that i have noticed.. anyone have experience with this that can lend me a few pointers?

It's recommended to have the appropriate hardware to reduce the stress on your motor and to have consistent results, but you can run E85 occasionally with decent results in ATR. Basically you'll need to modify your Timing map, load target map, and fuel scalar map.

This is no easy task as you'll have to log numerous times to make sure you car is running right, but basically start by slowly adding timing and load target to achieve more power and adjusting the scalar according to the amount of E85 you run. With your mods I would not run more than E20-E30 including the 10% already in most pump gas.

Also I recommend downloading virtual dyno which allows you to get a baseline dyno through your logs. That way with each adjustment you make in ATR you can see if it's having positive affects. I went from 360 WHP 400 WTQ on 93 pump to 395WHP 450 WTQ on 40% E85 and custom map on ATR.

thanks man, I already have virtual dyno i love that program, and i am definitely no stranger to e85 or ATR tuning, I self tuned my mazdaspeed 3 on a 60/40 blend of e85 with a bigger turbo and achieved 380whp but i have noticed ATR for this car seems to be a bit more confusing..

but as i kinda thought i will start with slow .5 increments in timing and of course tons of datalogging its a fun challenge for me just need the weather to clear up, thanks for the tips man.

Hey guys, quick question. I just picked up the AccessPort for a n55. I bought my car used and my understanding is that it has a Burger Turning n55 stage 1 plug in tune. Do I need to remove the n55 stage 1 plug in tune prior to installing any of the maps for the Cobb? Will these work together? I need to double check and make sure it even has the n55 stage 1 plug in tune installed. Will these compete against each other if they are both installed at the same time?

Not sure how you would remove it without the wires and module(burger tuning). Although if you were to plug up the access port Im pretty sure that once you loaded Cobb on, then if you wanted to re-load your "stock" map that you would lose the JB as it's a piggy back. Not 100% sure though, hopefully someone else will chime in. I know that if you have Cobb loaded that you could piggy back JB4 on top of it.

Yeah, by removing it I mean take it totally out, remove the wires/module.

I'm not sure why I would lose the JB as it's a plug-in tune and I wouldn't think it would be affected by any DME maps? For instance I had my dealership flash the DME ROM from 9780B to the latest version which Cobb is working on a build for. I did not remove the JB during this process. Hopefully that didn't hose anything.

You'll need to completely remove the JB for the Cobb to function properly. Those with an N54 that are stacking The JB and Cobb for Meth or E85 are running custom maps.

Hopefully it's not hard to figure out how to remove the JB. I'd like to know for sure I have it installed before tearing into the cowl, maybe I could tell my looking for piggybacked sensors.
