I'm running stage 1 aggressive + FMIC, there is no difference in fuel mileage from stock BMW, If I drive easy!
If I am enjoying the added boost from COBB, well my mileage is less, no shit!!
Understand, air and fuel burn at a certain ratio, so when you pump more air into an engine, you will burn more fuel. Well when you increase the boost you are adding more air to the engine that requires more fuel.

This has been simplified for those that do not understand stiochiometrics, for those that do, please don't reply.

He unfortunately has the newer style DME, so he got an unrecognized rom of a family that is not associated with the DME we currently support. As long as you get something in the family of 97V0B, 98D0B, 98F0B, or 98G0B you'll be good to go though it may take me a couple of hours to add support (if you have a new rom). 96A0B and 9780B are very old N55 roms that we don't support due to possible flashing issues, but the dealer should be able to update you to a newer rom.

The newer style DME (that we don't support yet) has a completely different set of roms and new security.

Big delta, stg1+ aggressive can boost 17+ psi midrange, i cant recall how much more aggressive advance is. Theyre really good OTS maps though. Outside of the e30 map, stg1+ agg was the map that i was most impressed with upon switching.

Thoughts on this E30 log? The boost seems unusually aggressive in this particular example, the overshoots I can dial out in ATR if that's the only cause. This is a fairly "noisy" E30 log for me, most of my recent logs have been pretty spot on. This pull didn't cause a misfire or any codes, just doesn't seem totally dialed in.

I am getting the BMW PPK installed on my 2013 135i as I want that configuration to be my "stock" setup and when I eventually sell the car, the PPK can stay on. Down the track with a few more kms, I want to go with a Cobb.

It is taking the dealer an eternity to arrange this and I have been told it is because they are waiting for a replacement DME from Germany to apply the flash to? If this is the case, then would it be easier to apply the Cobb to the replacement DME or am I making this all too simple?

Download the file and remove the .txt extension, the actual file is a .csv which should open in excel. Others have viewed it in that form, let me know if im missing your point here.

hi, I have been running stage 1 aggressive, but not flooring it too much. my car has 30k on it, and last week it blew the charge pipe, dealer changed it after unistalling cobb of course, no question asked. my question is can this be the result of too much boost or the charge pipe was doomed to failed independently?? in a little bit concern of installing cobb again and having the same issue???? thanks!!!

The cold side charge piping is horrible on the N54 and even worse on the N55, even at stock boost there are examples of failure. It's really not a hard install, I would strongly recommend upgrading the chargepipe and diverter valves regardless of boost levels. If you're worried about warranty issues, it can be fully reversed in an hour and it's one of those installs that becomes SO much easier after you've done it the first time.

Thanks.. Only problem I have is I'm not very mechanically inclined.. I'll guess I'll have to learn, but usually those "easy to install" stuff becomes a curse a lot day 😄

I have been biting my fingernails about the possibilty of the stock chargepipe breaking. I keep hearing about others who have this issue. I have an 08 with the 2 piece design and I run the stage2+ aggressive mapping daily and run the E30 mapping once or twice a month. I always jump on it and give it a healthy couple of pulls daily and I dont see any cracks, yet...

Been running COBB AP Stage 2 for the last 20k miles.

It's really a simple process in terms of what you are doing mechanically, my ER pipe came with good instructions and it makes enough sense. Again, can't over state how much faster it gets once you've done it once. Will probably take you a few hours to go slowly and figure out a few "problems" the first time you do it, but that's just the nature of working in a cramped engine bay. The only hitch I ran into the first time was unplugging the MAP sensor from the OE piping, but outside of that it was cake. If you get around to it and the directions are confusing PM me and i'll try to help out

It's blind luck man, some people can run 18.5+ PSI through their OE piping for 50K with no issues, others blow theirs off the throttle body at 8 PSI. I'd just replace it for peace of mind.
